Reeves: 'Bill & Ted' sequel in the works

NEW YORK, April 5 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves says a script is being cursive for a third broadcast in his "Bill & Ted" big-screen comedy franchise.

"Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" was released in 1989. A supplement called "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" followed in 1991.

The films starred Reeves and Alex Winter as the titular, time-traveling teenaged slackers.

Reeves, 46, told MTV News the original film's writers, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, hit been toiling absent on a screenplay for a third movie.

"I conceive the writers are sextet weeks absent from a draft," Reeves said Monday. "No pressure, guys!"

MTV News said Reeves talked most the send a taste terminal September, as well.

"When we terminal got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to hit cursive the strain that saved the world, and it hasn't happened," Reeves said. "So they've now become kind of controlled by trying to do that. Then there's an element of instance and they hit to go back."
