LOS ANGELES, Apr 21 (UPI) -- Comedian Weird Al Yankovic says U.S. pop star Lady Gaga loves his sendup of her strain "Born this Way," despite reports she proven to torpedo it.

"Well, this was a strange day," Yankovic said in a Web bill Wednesday.

"After swing my Lady Gaga sendup ['I Perform This Way'] on YouTube this farewell -- and announcing that it wouldn't be on my incoming medium because Gaga didn't okay it -- there was a huge outpouring of disappointment from the Internet," the humorist said. GALLERY: Lady Gaga performs in Miami "Apparently the fact that she didn't okay it was news to Lady Gaga herself! Gaga's trainer has now admitted that he never forwarded my sendup to Gaga -- she had no idea at all. Even though we assumed that Gaga herself was the digit making the selection [because, well, that's what we were told,] he apparently prefabricated the selection completely on his own. He's sorry. And Gaga loves the song."

Yankovic went on to say he's pleased to center she's a follower because he admires her impact and didn't poverty to conceive she had "less than a great sense of humor."

He also said "I Perform This Way" will materialize on his incoming medium and all the proceeds from the strain will go to the Human Rights Campaign.

"Thank you, Gaga. And thanks to everybody who had my back," Yankovic said.
