Ebert wins New Yorker caption contest

NEW YORK, April 26 (UPI) -- The New Yorker entrepot says Chicago flick critic Roger Ebert has won one of its weekly humor rendering contests.

The publication said Ebert submitted 107 entries before winning.

"To the delight of flick fans, flick critique fans, rendering contest fans and Roger Ebert fans -- and count me among every of the above -- Mr. Ebert has eventually fulfilled his hunt to get The New Yorker rendering contest," the entrepot said on its Web site Monday.

"Two thumbs up for you, Roger," the message said, referring to Ebert's mode intercommunicate for a flick worth seeing.

The success rendering entry was for a humor that represented a pair carrying groceries through a inhospitable and incoming in front of a sign emblazoned with a bold honor "F."

Ebert's one-liner said, "I'm not going to say the articulate I'm intellection of."
