O'Brien jokes about tech snafus on 'Conan'

LOS ANGELES, Apr 7 (UPI) -- Host Conan O'Brien is poking fun of the theoretical glitches that marred an program of his Los Angeles-based speech exhibit this week.

TVGuide.com said the West Coast programme of Tuesday night's exhibit featured 23 transactions of uninterrupted commercials. When the program returned it was pixilated, then it cleared up and started streaming sweptback very quickly.

O'Brien apologized on Wednesday's program for the "very messed-up version" of Tuesday's show.

"It was sort of a travesty -- but we made a fortune," O'Brien quipped, referring to the slew of TV ads that aired in place of his show.

Blaming the pain on a "technical glitch" at TBS' besieging headquarters, O'Brien then ran a comical re-enactment of his theory of what went awry, showing network employees as hillbillies dumping "possum chili" on the "Conan West Coast take machine," TVGuide.com said.
