Sad programme to move off the week. Brian Jacques, best-known for his Redwall series, died February 5th of a hunch attack. He was 71.

His Redwall vision series, intermeshed more towards children, took place in a world populated by walking, talking animals and convergent on the adventures of various mice, squirrel, badger, and jackrabbit heroes. It lidded 22 entries, with the most past promulgation being The Sable Quean, and a last novel, The Rogue Crew, to be free after this year.

Here is a brief bio of Jacques, provided by Locus magazine. A flooded promulgation will separate in the March issue.

James Brian Jacques was dropped June 15, 1939 in Liverpool, and worked diversely as a merchant sailor, longshoreman, truck driver, line fireman, and radio broadcaster, where he hosted the long-running show Jakestown on BBC Radio Merseyside.
