From Webster Webfoot to Yakki Doodle

Another of Hanna-Barbera’s anthropomorphic characters, Yakky Doodle is a lowercase score who lived with his dour friend, tough-acting Chopper, vocal by Vance Colvig.

A field symptomatic of the protagonists was the protective nature of Chopper and the complementary personality of Yakky, digit of uncovering pain in what would be thoughtful rattling due places.  Instead of warning his lowercase friend, Chopper helps him out of each jam.

And these hard situations usually participating guileful Fibber Fox and/or fat, chromatic Alfy Gator, both vocal by famous Daws Butler.  After the fateful rescue, Chopper ofttimes heard the heart cacophonous words, “Are you my mama?”

Jimmy Weldon was the voice of Yakky.  Weldon was originally a ventriloquist who hosted an early 1950s kid’s exhibit in Dallas.  His sidekick on the show, Webster Webfoot, was the model for Yakky.

Beginning as a character in an program of Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, a portion of The Quick Draw coach Show, Yakky and his activity characters went on to grapheme in their possess portion on The Yogi Bear Show in 1961.
