Scottish Deerhound 'Hickory' wins borough 2011, visits 'Today' (video) -- The English Deerhound that won the 2011 borough Dog Show Best in Show weekday period at Madison Square Garden made an attendance on NBC's Today Show Wednesday morning. "Hickory" obstructed by the studio with her handler, Angela Lloyd, and David Frei, patron of the televised borough Dog Show on USA Network.

Hickory is fivesome eld old and is the prototypal English Deerhound to get the 135-year competittion.

"It's especially daylong instance for a English Deerhound," said Mr. Frei, "because they were entered in our very first show in 1877."

Why so long?  "It was a matter of finding the right one," he said.

Another think might be that Hickory was having a particularly good show period on the period that it really mattered.

"She went in that anulus yesterday," said Ms. Lloyd, "and she was on the crowning of her game; she owned it."

Hickory will fling today that she has reached the pinnacle of her show career.

"She's going backwards to her stockman and owners farm in Virginia and separate 50 acres and savor her instance at home," Ms. histrion said.

As to whether or not her owners will breed her in the future, Ms. histrion responded, "It's a possibity, yes."

As part of Hickory's media journeying as this year's winner, David Frei said she would be stopping by the Ronald McDonald House and meet with whatever of the medicine and oncology patients there.
