NEW YORK, May 18 (UPI) -- Arnold Schwarzenegger's former advise helper says she never suspected the married film star was having an affair patch running for controller of California.

Schwarzenegger said weekday he and broadcast writer Maria Shriver, his spouse of 25 years, separated after she learned he fathered a female with a household employee, who left this year after employed for the kinsfolk for digit decades.

Sheri Annis, Schwarzenegger's advise helper during his prototypal semipolitical campaign, spoke only most the programme with MSNBC Tuesday.

"I was his representative at the time. Listen, if he hidden it from Maria, he sure hidden it from me. Maria had his backwards on every occasion and it was known that she was ever hunting out for him. So he did a rattling beatific cover-up employ on this one," Annis said.

"And I take no feeling in today's news. I dislike to wager it for some family, but especially someone who I knew and really did savor employed with and for. And I saw a marriage that was -- it was a partnership, a real partnership, semipolitical partnership, entertainment partnership. They worked together well at the time."

Annis went on to say Schwarzenegger "was ever quite professional" with her.

"I would obtain these questions, hit you been -- has he ever made an advance toward you or whatnot, which he sure never did because everyone knew he was potentially running for semipolitical office at the time. We were sort of feeling our way to wager if he strength go in that direction," she said. "I never saw some glimmer of this. He never pretended to be a squeaky decent candidate. So that's the disagreement here between he and another candidates and another figures. But I had no communication that something, a bombshell same this was waiting."
